Julie co-founded Ethos Consulting in 1992 to provide unique advisory services to corporate clients. She served both start-up and established companies and their financial backers to advise them in organizational performance. She conducted senior level executive searches for management consulting, investment banking, and consumer products companies, while serving as the Chief Financial Officer of Ethos. Currently, she focuses on serving non-profit organizations in Arizona.

Prior to Ethos, Julie was a Principal at Swander Pace & Co, a strategic management consulting firm that specialized in the food, beverage, and consumer products industries. While there, she provided services in strategy development, mergers and acquisitions, marketing, sales force effectiveness, and organization design. Earlier, she was an Associate with the San Francisco office of Booz•Allen & Hamilton in the Strategy and Information Systems Practices.

She began her career as the Export Sales manager of TEKNA Inc., a manufacturer of SCUBA equipment and Assistant to the President of HELIX, Ltd., a photographic wholesaler/retailer. She also was a certified SCUBA instructor for NAUI, PADI, and the YMCA.

She has three degrees from Stanford University including a Master of Business Administration, a Master of Science in Biology, and a Bachelor of Arts in Human Biology. She also holds a Graduate Gemologist degree from the Gemological Institute of America.

Since moving to Arizona in 2003, Julie has become an active volunteer in community organizations. She currently serves on the Board of Directors of Ballet Arizona, Phoenix Symphony, National Charity League, and the Women’s Board of the Arizona Kidney Foundation. She has co-chaired several successful fundraisers, including the Opera Ball and Ballet Ball. She is also an active member and former board member of Boys Team Charity. Julie is a member of the Heart Ball Committee for the American Heart Association, 5 Arts Circle, and volunteers as a Girl Scout Leader and at the school that her three children attend.
